What is the National Athletic Honor Society?
The National Athletic Honor Society is a society for high school athletes with the mission of recognizing, supporting and rewarding high school student athletes who achieve excellence in the classroom and on the “field of play.”
Upon the nomination from a participating Member High School and confirmation from the Member High School that you satisfy the criteria for membership, you will become a member of the National Athletic Honor Society.
What is the eligibility criteria for membership?
To be a Member, he/she must satisfy all three of the following eligibility criteria:
- a High School Student in a participating Member High School;
- maintains a cumulative 3.75 GPA;
- participates in a High School Varsity athletic program for at least two seasons (including, but not limited to, Archery, Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Cheer/Spirit Squad, Cross Country/Track & Field, Dance, Drill, Equine Sports, Fencing, Field Hockey, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Lacrosse, Martial Arts, Rowing/Crew, Rugby, Skiing, Soccer, Softball, Swimming/Diving, Tennis, Volleyball, Water Polo, and Wrestling) is eligible for membership; and
- all active members must complete at least five (5) hours of community service per school year.
How do I become a member?
Your High School must be a participating Member High School in order to qualify for membership. A High School becomes a participating Member High School by paying an annual membership fee in the amount of $275.00. Each High School must fill out an application form online MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION and agree to the Constitution and By-Laws of the Society.

How much does membership cost?
In order to become a participating Member High School, an individual High School must pay an annual membership registration fee of $275.00. The school may then nominate for membership an unlimited number of High School eligible student athletes.
