Chairman of the Board
During his college career, Rob received numerous academic and athletic awards including an Order of Cross Keys member, a National Jesuit Honor Society member, a Scholastic All-American, All-MAAC Conference selectee, and received multiple MAAC Conference Player of the Week awards. Rob’s intensity, dedication, work ethic, teamwork and leadership on and off the field was not overlooked by his teammates - - he was voted team captain his Junior and Senior years. Though Rob spent countless hours practicing on the baseball diamond, he spent more time devoted to his educational pursuits.
After graduating Cum Laude from Saint Peter’s College, Rob went on to attend Quinnipiac College School of Law, in Hamden, Connecticut where he graduated with honors. In 1999, Rob passed the New Jersey and New York State Bar exams. Rob is an Attorney-at-Law in the States of New Jersey and New York and owns his own law practice in Northern New Jersey focusing on employment law.
Rob resides in Wyckoff, New Jersey with his wife, Colleen and their three boys – Connor, Robbie and Sean. He spends his “free” time coaching multiple sports and is often heard three fields over preaching the values he learned from his parents. Rob believes you learn more about people and life through participation in sports than you do in any other arena.
John Skae
Board Member
John Skae distinguished himself as a dedicated student-athlete during his high school years, earning multiple varsity letters in both bowling and golf at Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, NJ. He competed on the varsity bowling team during his junior and senior years and was a key contributor to the varsity golf team. As a junior, he earned 2nd Team All-County honors in golf, showcasing both skill and sportsmanship. Though his senior year golf season was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, John remained committed to excellence both on and off the course.
He continued his academic journey at the University of Maryland, where he majored in Physiology and Neurobiology, laying a strong foundation in the sciences. While in his undergraduate studies, John enjoyed participating in intramural sports including volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer and golf. John is about to pursue his legal education at Rutgers Law School starting in August 2025, combining his passion for science with a drive to impact the legal field in intellectual property and patent law.
Rich Tandy
Director of Athletics
A familiar face in New Jersey amateur baseball, Rich has been around baseball for over fifty (50) years and has enjoyed success at every level of competition. Rich spent eight years as the hitting coach at NCAA Division III University of Rutgers-Newark before joining the New Jersey City University coaching staff for nine years. Prior to his tenure in NCAA Division III Baseball, Rich spent five years managing the Bergen Catholic High School fall and summer baseball program. Throughout his history of coaching high school athletes, he has continuously preached to his players that “success on the field starts with a commitment to excellence in the classroom.”
In 1991, Rich earned American Amateur Baseball Congress Regional Coach of the Year honors after leading a Bergen Catholic Connie Mack baseball team to the North Atlantic Regional Championship and were runners-up at the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, New Mexico. Rich has had success coaching high school athletes on other levels, and was named to the coaching staff of the American Amateur Baseball Congress National Team in 1994. He helped guide a team to the New Jersey State Sandy Koufax League championship. He also coached two years for the semipro Lodi (NJ) Orioles of the Metropolitan Baseball League. Rich started and ran the American Amateur Baseball Academy for the AABC in New Jersey for three (3) years and continues to coach high school baseball prospects through his Baseball Club organization.
